I wrote this song on an Island in Northern Michigan using sounds and samples collected on my way to the island. I was full of mixed emotions when writing this and I feel like those emotions come across. I hope you enjoy its melancholy vibes.

I love making music from field recordings. The idea for this song was created when hiking with a buddy in the northwoods of Michigan. We spotted two piliated woodpeckers who were drumming for territory. I recorded them and created this track.
